How it works

1

Step 1You name the dossier

One field and the level you follow, which takes about thirty seconds. Add a line about your angle if you want the brief weighted towards it.

2

Step 2Polpo runs it

Our AI Assistant queries the parliamentary record on your dossier and ties every answer to the document behind it. An analyst reads the brief before it goes out.

3

Step 3The brief reaches your inbox

Within two working days, written up and ready to forward to your team.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no card, no account and nothing that starts billing later. We produce the brief because a real one on your own dossier shows what Polpo does better than any demo, and because it puts us in front of people who follow policy for a living.
Do I get access to the platform as well?
No. You receive the written brief by email. The screenshots above show the system we build it in, and you can look around that platform through the link at the bottom of this page.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?
A general model summarises the news coverage it can find and cannot show you where a claim came from. Polpo queries the parliamentary record itself: proposals, motions, amendments, consultations and voting records. Every line in your brief points back to the document behind it, so you can check any claim in a minute.
Is it written by AI or by a person?
Both. Our AI Assistant pulls the material and drafts the sections, then someone at Polpo reads the brief and checks it against the sources before it goes out. That review is why it takes two days instead of two minutes.
My dossier is niche. Will there be anything in it?
Name it and we will run it. If the record on your dossier turns out to be thin, the brief tells you that instead of padding it out, which is useful in itself.
Which levels and institutions do you cover?
The Dutch parliament and central government, the provinces and municipalities, the EU institutions, and the Belgian federal, Flemish, Walloon and Brussels levels. Pick one or several on the form.
How far back does the brief go?
Six months by default, which covers the spring session and the recess. You can set it to three or twelve months on the form.
What happens to my details?
Your name, work email and dossier go to Polpo so we can produce the brief and send it. We do not sell or pass them on. Every email carries an unsubscribe link and we delete your details whenever you ask.
